In addition to letterpress printing, we offer instruction and workshops in other textual technologies, such as the use of dip pens. Lately, we’ve gotten several requests for a typewriter. After gauging that there might be several interesting projects, we finally found the right manual typewriter — this lovely green Smith-Corona Sterling, with its original case. We have some red and black ribbon on hand for anyone who wants to try it out. It has already proved to be very popular with students and there was a lot of typing going on pretty much immediately after it arrived at Huskiana Press. Hopefully we’ll be able to show off some of what folks use it for in the coming weeks and months.
